Morning ---

TODAY IS THE DAY –

That’s right – all hockey adds are due today. Please get them turned into Dawn Stimmler or myself today. Dawn will be busy for part of the evening; if you need to drop off ads and money I will be available. If you are short of the $250 required please get this money turned in as well.

IT STARTS UP ONE WEEK FROM TODAY –

Captains practice starts up next Monday October 29^th starting at 3:30 Ramsey Rink. The players will have ice for 1 ½ hours the first week and 2 hours each day the second week. Players must have their release form and fee paid before they are allowed on the ice. SORRY, BUT NO EXCEPTIONS.

DON’T FORGET –

There will be a meeting for all players who plan on trying out following Captains Practice on Monday October 29^th  at 5:30. The discussion will be tryouts, expectations, job roles, systems and main events for the season. The players will also be introduced to our new coach, Coach Fitzel.

PANCAKE BREAKFAST –

Our first Pancake Breakfast fundraiser is Saturday November 10^th. Please get your tickets sold and money turned in. Players are responsible to sell 5 tickets. The breakfast will be held from 8 -10 am at Applebees in St. Anthony. If you need additional tickets please contact Kathy Jereczek. The Blue Line Club will give $25 to the person selling the most tickets. All returning lettermen will be asked to work the breakfast. They will need to be there from 7:30 am until about 10:30 or until everything is cleaned up. We still need a few parents to help out as well. If you can help out please let me know.  

THEY’RE HERE!!!

The new jerseys have been picked up and by the reaction of the players who have seen them it should guarantee us a couple of more wins. They look great and the players are excited.

1^ST SCRIMMAGE –

The first scrimmage is scheduled for Saturday November 17^th. The JV and Varsity teams will be traveling to Hutchinson and scrimmaging from 11am – 1. The teams will be stopping for lunch following the scrimmage (lunch and transportation will be provided by the Blue Line Club). The Bus will be leaving Irondale High School at 9am sharp!

TRYOUTS –

Tryouts start up in 3 weeks on Monday November 12^th at 2:45 on Rink # 8. Players will NOT be allowed on the ice if they have not turned in (Irondale) yellow sheet (St. Anthony) blue sheet. These forms should be turned in to Dawn Stimmler or myself prior to the start of tryouts or they should be brought to the rink the first day of tryouts.

CAN YOU HELP OUT –

We need a parent available at the Captains Practice to help out to collect forms and money. If your can help out please let me know. Thanks

JANUARY AT MOE’S –

Our second pancake fundraiser is scheduled for January 19 at Moe’s in Mounds View. We plan on holding a small silent auction. If you or company is willing to donate something please let me know. We also need to someone to take the lead in handling the silent auction. We already have some great items to auction off.

CHUCK-A- PUCK –

We will be handling Chuck-A-Puck this year with proceeds going to KNIGHTS HOCKEY. If you can sell pucks at one of our home games please let me know.

TEAM PICTURES –

Team, individual and team poster pictures will be taken on Tuesday November 20^th at practice.

APPAREL –

We should finalize team apparel for the upcoming season this week. Soon as it is finalized we’ll get order forms out. We will also have order forms available for parents at our breakfast in November.

Forgot something --- Senior moment –again

November 12^th is the Mandatory Drug Awareness/rules meeting for all Players/Managers and parents. The meeting is at 7pm at the Irondale High School auditorium.
