Morning Knights Hockey –
It’s been a while since I’ve updated everyone on things going on and we also have few new additions to the group. According to our website we’re just 26 Days, 11 hours and 40 minutes away from the start of the season. You can feel the excitement of another action packed KNIGHTS HOCKEY SEASON! Again, there is a lot of information in this email. Please read the entire email and let me know if you have questions.
CAPTAINS PRACTICE –
Captains Practice is underway under the direction of Rick McKelvie and the turnout has been good. Special THANKS to the volunteers Dawn Stimmler, Kathy Jereczek, Mary Valley, Pauline Batcha and Brian Jereczek for showing up and helping out collecting waivers, ice fees and answering question.
TRYOUTS –
Tryouts start November 12th at 2:45 on Rink 8 at the Super Rink. We are expecting about 47 players to tryout. Players MUST present a yellow form if you are attending Irondale and a blue form if you are attending St. Anthony. These forms are evidence that you have met all the requirements of your school. You get these forms from your school’s athletic office. Players will not be allowed on the ice without presenting this form. ALSO – due to the number of players trying out please have your son get to the rink as soon as possible so numbers can be assigned and paper work processed. We will also post the tryout schedule on the website.
ALSO ON NOVEMBER 12TH – (DRUG AWARENESS MEETING)
A reminder there will be a MANDATORY meeting for all players/managers and parents on November 12th at 7pm at Irondale High School Auditorium for the Drug Awareness and rules meeting.
PANCAKE BREAKFAST –
Our 1st of 2 Pancake Breakfast fundraisers will be held on November 10th at Applebees in St. Anthony from 8 – 10am. All returning lettermen are required to be there from 7:30 – 10:30 to help out. If any other players wish to help out please show up. We could still use a few parents as well. Each family is responsible to sell 5 tickets – please get the money turned in to Kathy Jereczek ASAP. The Blue Line Club will give $25 to the player/family selling the most tickets. If you need additional tickets contact Kathy Jereczek. These fundraisers are very important to the operation of the teams and will save each family money down the road. Please get the tickets sold. Tickets will also be available at the door.
