Morning All –
The Good News – It took a little while but the teams got it right with both the JV and Varsity team coming away with wins last Saturday. It was nice effort by both teams and special congratulations to Travis Baker who had 3 goals and 3 assists in the Varsity game.
The Bad News – I had our IS department check my email and they claim there is nothing wrong with it, but by the response I received after my last email I am convinced that these emails are going into a “Black Hole” in cyber space.
Folks, I don’t get it. I’m a “the glass is half full type of guy” and sometimes very patient. Many of you have jumped in this year to help out. Many of you have been very supportive and it is very much appreciated so THANK YOU!!!!!!
BUT – here’s the situation –
- We need volunteers for home games. When we first asked if the group was interested in doing this the response was overwhelming that this was something we could do to lower costs. We have the game covered for the 10th but that is it. If we don’t cover the games the Super Rink will need to hire others and we will need to collect money from everyone to cover the apparel expense. There is an attachment above that shows where we need help at the home games. If we don’t get the game on the 12th covered in the next day I’ll need to call the Super Rink and tell them we can no longer do the volunteer work. Please look at the attachment and if you can help let Dawn Stimmler know.
- Senior Day – We need Junior, Sophomore and Freshmen parents to get involved. This is the day that we honor the senior players and managers and their parents. Senior day is scheduled for February 16th. The duties consist of getting a cake, punch, coffee and decorations for a gathering following the game. If you can help out please let me know.
- Banquet – If you want one this year let me know. I have reserved March 11 at Northwestern College. We need to send a deposit if we plan on having a banquet.
- Team DVD – The idea is to give your son a DVD memory of the season. We have done this the past few years and this has been very popular. If you think your son might enjoy this you should get involved. Please contact Mark Goertzen, Kathy Jereczek or myself.
- Pasta Feeds – If you are willing to host a pasta feed please contact Patty Fredberg
Let me know if you can help out – Thanks

TEAM POSTERS –
There are a few left – A memory your son will have for a life time. Posters are $35 and once they’re gone they’re gone.
