Good morning -
Thank you to everyone that has come forward to help support our hockey players, coaches, and program. During the last ten days, there has been a tremendous amount of activity with the BLC and so many members have been helping out.
Last week our BLC meeting on Monday was well attended, with good discussion, and we kicked-off the planning for the Home of Hockey (Eveleth) tournament. Our program book was wrapped up and will be available in print at our first home game on Tuesday. The display board at the Super Rink is being updated. We received some really nice schedule magnets and volunteers for home games have been lined up for December home games. A family-hosted player pasta-feed took place, and team pictures were taken. All that along with several exciting games of hockey and a parent 'mixer'! We're off to a great start of the season in many ways!

Player Pasta Feeds:
Judy Marchiafava is coordinating the pasta feeds for the players. Please contact her to schedule a date. Consider hosting a pasta feed or partnering with a few other parents to share the cost and effort. If you aren't able to host a pasta feed in your home, consider using a public space such as a suitable park or community building. These spaces can often be used at no cost. We will send out and post the schedule this week, and also identify open dates. Contact Judy if questions
Website:
Some time this week our new website design will be cut-over to the speed-fire.com address. The only action you need to take is to go to speed-fire.com instead of the temporary web address we have been using. We'll let you know when that happens.
Feedback on the website can be sent to Torri Johnson
Eveleth Tournament:
The planning began last week, with a committee of about 10 people helping with planning. Mark Goertzen is taking the lead on planning, and he sent a recap from the Dec 1 meeting. Contact him if questions or feedback
The next planning meeting will be Monday, December 15 as part of the BLC meeting at Random Park (7-9pm).
The game schedule was received - this will be a 6 team tournament, 3 games in three days, without brackets. The Wednesday game times are still TBD, see below for Monday/Tuesday game time/locations.
We are planning BINGO for the players during down time at the hotel. We need donated prizes from the parents, for the boys. Lynne Lark is coordinating and collecting the donations. Please watch for more information from Lynne and contact her if you have prizes

January Pancake Breakfast & Silent Auction - January 17:
Planning for this fundraiser will begin at the December 15 BLC meeting. We'd like to get tickets printed and distributed to players before the Holiday break. Also need to start gathering items for the silent auction. Please contact Patty Fredberg if you can help and plan to attend the meeting on Monday 12/15 at Random Park.
