The Blue Line Club is ready to take the ice. Join us!

The Blue Line Club sent the official opening of the 2010-2011 season email to prospective hockey families on August 24th.  This email gives families initial information about the season and several dates to put on the calendar.

To see information about the Blue Line Club and your role in it, check out the Blue Line Club page along the left hand side of the home page.

Copies of the email correspondance to the Blue Line Club are posted under the Blue Line Club page.  If you would like to review the information without having to search through your personal email, go to the email correspondance page and click on the date of the email to get your information at any time of the day.

All prospective hockey families are welcome!  If you did not receive the information and are interested in Knights Hockey, send an email to with your contact information.  Also, keep checking back to www.speed-fire.com for all the latest updates.

Calling all players - the Sunday "K"night schedule has been posted.

Sunday "K"night ice will be held each Sunday starting September 12 through October 24th from 8:30pm to 9:30pm at the Roseville Skating Center

Cost is only $70!

To sign up, fill out the Sunday "K"night ice form located in the Document section along the left hand side of the website and bring it to the arena on September 12th

Hockey Helmets are included as part of the Irondale/St. Anthony Boys High School uniform.

However, some families choose to purchase their own helmet.

If you are in the market for a new helmet, the Irondale Boys Hockey coaching staff has made arrangments with Dave's Sports Shop in Fridley and they are offering special pricing for the following helmets:

Cascade M11 - Athletic Gold with black vents  ask for pricing at Dave's
                        Mask is extra
    Note:  This helmet requires special order and a wait of a few days for delivery

Bauer 4500 - Athletic Gold  special pricing is appx $50
                     Mask is extra

Bauer 7500 - Athletic Gold  special pricing is appx $85
                     Mask is extra

Bauer 9900 - Athletic Gold  special pricing is appx $120
                      Mask is extra

If you choose to purchase your own helmet at Dave's, go to the Fridley store, ask for Dave Turbitt and tell him you are with Irondale/St.Anthony High School Hockey.

If you choose to purchase any helmet from any store, the color must be Athletic Gold.  If you have a choice of vent color, it must be black.  Any other helmet color will not be allowed as an Irondale Boys High School player.  The mask is your personal choice and should be clear, black or silver. 

You also have the choice of using the standard issue helmet from the High School as part of the uniform.  The standard issue uniform includes breezers, gloves, helmet game jerseys and socks.

Coach Tuomie is asking all High School Hockey players to participate in this years Knights Trail 5k Run on September 18th.  Most of the information is below or you can also check out the youth site at www.iyhaleague.org


Irondale Youth Hockey Association is hosting a 5k, Kids Fun Run and Pancake Breakfast

When:    Saturday September 18th 2010
Time:      8:00am 5k Start
               9:15am Kids 10 and under Fun Run
Where:   Mermaid Events Center

A KNIGHTS TRAIL: is a flat, paved run/walk perfect for everyone. We stroll through suburbia to and around most of Silver View Lake and back to the Mermaid for a pancake breakfast.

First place finisher for men and women receive Grand Casino overnight stay.

The kids fun run starts from the north side of the Mermaid parking lot at Woodale and comes back around to end on the path in front of the restaurant. There’s plenty of room for parents and families to cheer!

Race fees:

The 5K is $25.00 per runner  All adult participants will receive a T-shirt, a tote bag, and a bottle of water after the race.  
Pancake Breakfast after the run is $5.00
$35.00 for race day registration

The Kids Fun Run is $10.00  All kid fun run participants will receive a T-shirt, a ribbon, and a bottle of water after the race.
Pancake Breakfast after the run is $5.00
$15.00 for race day registration.

The pancake breakfast at the Mermaid is open to everyone 8:00am -11:00am
$8.00 /person ($5.00 for 5k and Kids Fun Run participants). Cheer on your favorite runner and after the race enjoy a family breakfast together.
