Where are they now?

 

Several former Knights players have gone on to levels of hockey above high school.  To kick off the new season, we take a look at where the Irondale stars of yesterday are faring in the higher ranks of hockey.  Note: this list only includes a list of players who are currently active in hockey, we will add more alumni as time goes on.   Stats are as of November 10, 2003.

 

Ben Perkins (1999   Graduate)

Ben PerkinsUM-C

 The former Knights captain is currently in his senior season at the University of Minnesota-Crookston.  He has played two previous seasons with the Golden Eagles.  Last season he was second on the team in points (22) and led his team in plus/minus rating (+14).  Ben played a year with the Bozeman Icedogs of the AWHL after high school.

Ryan McKelvie (2000)

 

 

 

 

MSU

 Ryan is playing at Minnesota State- Mankato this season.  This is his sophomore year as a Maverick. As a freshman, he played in 36 of 41 games including the NCAA tournament.  Ryan also played with the Bozeman Icedogs for two years, the second year leading them to a Junior A National Championship.  In the past week, Ryan was named assistant captain.
Matt Ninnemann (2002)

Matt is attending Tufts University in Boston.  This is his second year as a goalie for the Jumbos.  Last season he appeared in nine games as a freshman with a 3.86 GAA.
Zach McKelvie (2003)

Bozeman Icedogs

 Zach is playing for the Bozeman Icedogs of the NAHL.  He has appeared in all 16 games for the Icedogs in his first season.  Zach recently was moved from forward to defense to help anchor the blue line.
Chris McKelvie (2003)

Bozeman Icedogs

 Chris is also playing for the Bozeman Icedogs this season. He has a goal and an assist in 14 games this year for the first place Icedogs.   
Joe Oliverius (2003)

Butte RoughRiders

 Joe is the captain for the Butte Rough Riders of the Norpac Junior B league.  He scored the first goal and hat trick in Rough Riders history.

Irondale High School is located in New Brighton, Minnesota, a suburb of the city of St. Paul.  Irondale is one of two high schools in the Mounds View School District, ISD 621.  St. Anthony Village High School in St. Anthony, Minnesota and is in the New Brighton/St. Anthony School District, ISD 282.
