(St. Paul, MN) Actors Theater of Minnesota, resident company of the Lowry Theater, will present the US premier of HOCKEY MOM, HOCKEY DAD, January 14 – February 28, 2010.
Hockey Mom, Hockey Dad by Michael Melski is a slashing two-hander about two lonely single parents who meet and fall in love while watching their kids play a season of minor hockey. Do you know why your son's hockey bag DID NOT STINK when he brought it home on Saturday November 21st?
I DO!
Your efforts to work at Home Games allowed financing for the bags professionally cleaned and sanitized to minimize the spread of all the nasty germs that can accumulate over the season.
The SuperRink pays the Blue Line Club for providing workers at our Varsity and JV home games. We would rather have them pay us then pay someone else to do it, and since we are all experienced hockey people, this is an easy way to assist the team keep the costs down for everyone.
The Home Game Volunteer Schedule is now posted. It is in the Documents section of our website www.speed-fire.com .
PLEASE sign up ASAP to get your 1st choice. Respond to Jane DeBruzzi at
with your name, date, and what assignment you wish to take. She will also bring the list around to our games, so get your calendars up-to-date and ready!

| | Randy is an IYHA Youth Coach and High School Hockey Dad | | |
Randy Bortot, varsity assistant captain Lance Bortot's dad and an Irondale Youth Coach, was in a motorcycle accident Wednesday night November 11 on the way to youth practice. He is facing a lengthy recovery. We will post information here if necessary, but in the meantime, please keep the family in your thoughts and prayers.
Randy has a Facebook page that he updates.
After the Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser on December 19th, he posted the following message:
Would like to thank everyone who came to the benefit this morning. Huge thanks the heather schilling and applebees
Randy had additional surgery on Monday, December 21st. According to his facebook page updated by a friend:
..........Just talked to Randy's sister Sheryl. Surgery went very well, doctor was very pleased. Fusion went great and he cleaned up all the bone fragments from around his spine, neck and shoulder area. He'll be in the halo for another 4 weeks or so and will be quite sore so he's going to need all the help and support of his friends. Not sure how long he'll be in HCMC, most likely the whole week.
Update December 29th - Randy is out of the hospital and recovering at home.
As of January 4th, he no longer needs "Randy Buddies" to keep an eye on him. Thank you to everyone at Irondale Youth Hockey for your outstanding support!
